  3. Prototype the motion without adhesive. Fill, close and observe the bottle over a tray while an adult controls it. Adjust the mixture before making the closure permanent.
  4. Clean and dry the threads. Liquid, oil, glitter or grains on the neck can stop the cap from seating evenly.
  5. Follow the sealant label. An adult should use only a product whose manufacturer identifies it as compatible with the bottle plastic. Observe ventilation, skin-protection and cure-time instructions.
